It was a wonderful evening at the Frauenthal on Saturday, December 15 as Waddell & Reed and Jerry Leffring sponsored the Leffring Sisters Holiday Concert promoting Harbor Hospice to a full house. We continued to have wonderful weather for yet another Harbor Hospice Chronicle Regatta. The 2012 event was absolutely beautiful. We sincerely thank all our sponsors and supporters for helping to make this a very successful event.
We can safely say that we sailed past $30,000 in support raised for the patients and families served by Harbor Hospice.

Harbor Hospice Chronicle Cup Regatta

The winds were just right for Skipper Laurie Poppen and the crew of Impulsive, a Melges 24, which clocked in at just under 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Laurie is also the Chair of the Harbor Hospice Chronicle Regatta and the granddaughter of Leila and Cyrus Poppen for whom the Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence is named.
Laurie and her crew are entitled to go to St. Petersburg, FL to compete in the National Hospice Regatta in 2012.

The very happy gentleman pictured to the right is Bobby Cox, Skipper of Ricochet and winner of the Judy Miller Memorial Trophy. Bobby raised the most Skipper Pledges for the 2011 Race.
Thank you Bobby and all who participated in this year's challenge. Because of your commitment to the good work Harbor Hospice is doing in the communities we serves, the Judy Miller Memorial Challenge raised over $5,000 in pledges.
