Camp Courage Application Letter
Dear Parent/Guardian:
Camp Courage is for children ages 6-12 who have experienced the death of a loved one. The Harbor Hospice Board and Management have supported us in this life-changing experience for 16 years. We believe there is wisdom in getting to the root of grief early in a child’s development rather than letting it intensify into something much worse over time. Each summer children gather to have all the typical fun of camp, combined with the guidance of professional counselors to address their losses. The camp has a $10.00 non-refundable registration fee (to be paid only by children accepted to attend). This fee can be waived if financial resources are not available. This year, Camp Courage will be held at the Pioneer Trails Campground on Big Blue Lake from Friday at 10:00AM on June 22th through 2:00PM on Sunday, June 24, 2012. For the safety of your child, no one can be dropped off before 10:00AM on Friday morning. To have your child considered for this camp, please complete the enclosed forms in their entirety and return them to the Harbor Hospice office as soon as possible (please do not send the $10.00 registration fee until you receive notice your child has been selected to attend). Each page of the application must be complete for us to consider your child for If you have any questions about Camp Courage, please do not hesitate to contact us at 231.728.3442 or 800.497.9559. We look forward to hearing from you soon. We care about your children, too!
Sincerely,
