The following positions are currently available:


Intake Nurse 
Registered Nurse

Harbor Hospice, a Joint Commission accredited organization, has an opening for a Registered Nurse in our Intake Department. This position is part-time, 40 hours bi-weekly including every other weekend. An example schedule would be Monday & Tuesday 10am to 6pm one week, Saturday and Sunday 9am to 5pm and Friday during the second week.

This position is responsible for patient referrals and intake activity; liaison with area discharge planners, referrers, payers and patients/families.

This position requires 3-5 years clinical experience, strong assessment skills, strong computer charting skills, interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team. Current State of Michigan RN license and valid driver’s license required. BSN preferred with experience in hospice and community care.

  PRN Primary Care

  Registered Nurse 

The RN provides skilled professional nursing care to the patient/family/caregiver as prescribed by the physician and in compliance with regulation as established by the State Board of Registered Nursing, the patient and the policies of Harbor Hospice.


  • Is a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
  • Current state of Michigan Registered Nurse License.
  • Minimum of 2 years Nursing experience
  • Certification in hospice and palliative care preferred.
  • Possesses and maintains a current CPR certification.
  • Maintains a valid Michigan driver’s license and has access to a reliable, licensed and insured vehicle for use on the job, vehicle must be insured in accordance with the State of Michigan.
  • Must be very flexible and able to work all shifts.
  • Able to work various roles in Home Care.

Home Care CENA - PRN 

1st Shift Varied Hours - Must be available a minimum of two shifts per quarter, one of which must be a weekend if applicable.  A shift is defined as a minimum of eight hours.  
This position under the supervision of a registered nurse, provides direct care to patients in their homes.


  • A nurse aide training and competency evaluation program approved by the State as meeting the requirements of 483.151 through 483.154 of this chapter, and is currently listed in good standing on the State nurse aide registry.
  • Current state of Michigan Nurse Aide Certification.
  • Current valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Certification in hospice and palliative care (CHPNA) preferred
